Recognition for the Regional Frame Player (Re-Broadcaster) (DSM-032-15) (rus)

Recognition for the Regional Frame Player (Re-Broadcaster) module provides means for rebroadcasting with automatic inserts of commercial or other blocks. In automatic mode it is constantly scanning rebroadcasted audio signal in order to find (recognize) one of predefined audio patterns. As soon as that happens, the recognition module generates a command to the switcher module to change over to local content source (or to return to rebroadcasting). Audio patterns, causing changing over, should be predefined and configured in the system. Usually such patterns are opening and closing jingles of commercial block of the frame (main) station, which signal is being rebroadcasted.

DTMF Recognition Module

DTMF command is a widely used method of controlling rebroadcasting stations from the center. DTMF mark stands for a combination of 2 audio frequencies; each of the frequencies is selected from 4 possible values, thus, there are 16 marks in total available. The frequencies are arranged so, that they could be transmitted over the signal without losses and could be undoubtfully identified on the other end. DTMF marks principle is the same which is used in tone dialing mode in telephone systems.

Switching logic of DTMF method is the same as used in audio pattern Recognition Module: at detection of predefined DTMF mark the switching over command is generated (to the local content source or to rebroadcasted signal). The only significant difference between the two methods is in the fact, that DTMF mark could be placed in any part of the jingle itself, while the switching over should happen in the end of a jingle. That is why a switching delay should be programmed in the system; this is done in the module settings.

High Frequency Marks Recognition Module

The logic of High Frequency Recognition Module repeats the logic of audio pattern and DTMF recognition modules.

Main advantage of using this method is in the fact that high frequency marks are in the frequency range that is normally cut by FM processors prior to FM transmitters. So, these audio items could not be heard by audience which is not true for DTMF marks. High frequency marks are used by those radio stations that have technical possibility to deliver audio signal with frequencies higher than 15 kHz to their local rebroadcasting stations. Assumed, that local stations should have technical possibility to receive these signals.
