RDS Service (DS-06-000-15) (rus)¶

RDS service (DS-06-000-15) is used at generating of data stream for serial output to RDS-coder. Service allows loading data from external sources (in particular, to receive fresh weather reports, currency rates etc), process data with XSLT-transform, save data and send data to coder. Thanks to RDS service, FM receiver LCD may display static and dynamic text information. Example of static informion: text string with phone of commercial department, name of radio station, frequency (radio station dependent information). Dynamic information: title and performer of currently playing musical piece; this information is received from external file. Data can be displayed as a kreeping line or just stay static on LCD for a certain time.
Main data source for RDS service is DIGISPOT II radio automation system, providing parameters of music title currently playing in one of players. Service allows adding own static strings to RDS data. Except for direct communication with DIGISPOT II apps, RDS service can also import data from XML-files (this was the first method of communication with RDS service; direct communication is possible with DIGISPOT II from version 2.13).
RDS service works with RDS coders FORA-600 (Fora FirmWare «May 7 2008 !18:42:34» and later) and 2WCOM (2WCOM RDS Encoder).
