Schedule to DB Replication Service (DS-00-067-15) (rus)

This service provides automatic cloning of blocks of one schedule in other schedules. The system allows automatic generation of the schedule with insertion of clones (full replicas) of other schedules. To accomplish this task a block of the new type is created in the schedule: repeat block. Block properties has reference to the source schedule (path or name), time difference and exact time point or time range. As a result, following blocks in the schedule will be cloned from source blocks. New blocks are reflecting all changes in the source blocks. These blocks are treated by players as normal blocks and they "remember" their origin.

Repeat block is completely ignored by the players; this block is a kind of bookmark or instruction for replication module. Repeat block inserts clone blocks after itself. Repeat block describes time range of original blocks for the clone blocks (including blocks with zero duration, only one block has exactly corresponding time). Source block by itself may be a clone. Recursing cloning is possible. Source block is identified by its on-air time. Clone block automatically reflects all changes made in source block, up to self-removal in the case if the source block is removed. Changes are reflected not instantly but at periodic check. Checks interval is in the range of tens of seconds. Manual editing of the clone is not possible when it is copied. It is possible to allow clone editing by a special command, at that the clone will stop to reflect changes, introduced to its source. It will behave as a standard block with static content. Updating of the clone block from its source could be switched back but at that all changes in the clone block will be lost. Clone block has a special graphic attribute (icon). The icon changes its states if the clone block is in the editing mode or in the updating mode.

The Replication service is very useful for multiprogram broadcasting (or multizone) and it is necessary to use the same material in different programs. Simple example - copying of recorded news blocks. More difficult example - forming of special program version for Internet streaming, for brodcasting to a different time zone, to crate reserve slightly modified schedule etc. This service requires base version of the system, ON-AIR Schedule Module (DS-00-005-15), MDB client License or MDB Advanced Client License.

The Replication service requires:

- Digispot II base configuration

- The On-Air Schedule module (DS-00-005-15)

- Media DB Client Lcs or Media DB Advanced Client Lcs
- Media DB] (DS-07-000-15) or [wikiDiDevDocDSIIModulesDS-29-000-15_ENG Media DB Advanced Engine (DS-29-000-15).
